Tubular Front Swaybar

Keeping the tire contact patches flat to the ground is critical for good handling. And since the front suspension of the 79-04 Mustang doesn’t have enough camber-gain to compensate for body roll, it is even more critical to limit roll to keep the tires flat. These big 1-3/8” diameter swaybars dramatically limit roll for superior handling, flatter cornering and better stability.

The tubular design of these bars saves weight, compared to regular solid bars. In fact, the 79-93 swaybar is 4 pounds lighter than the stock bar yet is 15% stiffer!

Starting in 1994 the factory started using tubular bars, but a stiffer bar is still needed to limit body roll. Some aftermarket companies replace the factory tubular bar with a heavy solid bar, more than doubling the weight. Not Steeda. Their tubular bar weighs just 11.8 pounds*.
