High Stall Torque Converter for 2005-2009 V6 Mustang

Realspeed Automotive worked with ProTorque to develop custom-built torque converters for 2005-2007 Mustangs. Pro-Torque’s advanced machining process increases engine rpm for better acceleration while maintaining peak efficiency in the converter, without the “mushy” feeling of inferior converters. Users of the new converter can expect a tremendous increase in throttle response and acceleration, and gains of 0.2 to 0.6 seconds in the quarter mile depending on the vehicle configuration and stall speed selected.

The 5R55S transmission in the ’05-‘07 Mustang locks up the converter during regular highway cruising. This allows the use of high stall speed torque converters for performance without sacrificing fuel economy.

Note: Torque converters for the 2005-2007 V6 Mustang are sold on an exchange basis. A $300 core-charge will be added to your bill at the time of purchase. When we receive your old converter back in working condition we will refund the $300 core charge. You can also send in your existing converter ahead of time and request that we modify your converter and send it back to you. This will avoid the core charge.
