Billet Lower Control Arms with Adjustable Spring Perch 79-04

Steeda Billet Adjustable Rear Control Arms increase traction and control while allowing the ride height to be adjusted with a 1/2-inch ratchet.

The control arms are CNC machined from a solid block of high strength billet aluminum, making them stronger and lighter than the competition’s stamped and welded steel arms. Each complete arm weighs less than 7 lbs. Competing steel arms weigh 30% more and offer less ground clearance.

The adjustable spring seat allows you to raise or lower the rear of your Mustang up to 1 inch with just the turn of a standard ˝” ratchet. The exclusive roller bearing under the spring seat makes adjustment even easier, so you can adjust the ride height right in your driveway without jacking up the car. Use the adjustable spring seat to fine tune corner-weights for better handling, raise the back of your car to fit taller slicks, or even compensate for heavy stereo equipment in your street car.

Available with with 3 Bushing options:
1) 3-part bushings at both ends. The 3 part design has a hard center section to resist longitudinal deflection for positive axle control and increased traction. Softer outer bushings allow the angular compliance necessary for the suspension to move through its normal range of motion without binding. This provides more predictable handling and less strain on the torque boxes than other arms with solid bushings.

2) Spherical Bearing and 3-Part Bushing Combo. This provides even more posative axle location while still allowing a small amount of longitudinal deflection that is necessary to prevent roll-bind. This option is primarily intended for suspension systems that reduce or eliminate the length-change related roll-bind of the factory 4 link suspension, such as the Steeda 5-Link or a Torque Arm & Panhard bar configuration.

3) Spherical Bearing and Delrin Bushing Combo. Solid Delrin bushings and Teflon lined spherical bearings virtually eliminate deflection for the hardest possible launch off the line. This option is intended for drag race cars equiped with a competition style “anti-roll bar” that substantially reduces rear body roll.
