Steeda 5-Link 2 track test video
In this video, Dan Carlson does the first on-track test of the production version of the Steeda 5-link 2 suspension. The car being driven is Dan's 290 rwhp 1989 LX street car with full interior, air conditioning, stereo etc. It was driven to-and-from the track (about 200 miles). The second car passed in the video is a dedicated track car with full Griggs Racing suspension. Video from "Camp Steeda" at Sebring International Raceway, 2003.

The Steeda 5-Link Suspension is a proven winner on the track, but customers asked for a more streetable version that would allow tailpipes. Steeda listened to their input and then went to work. The result is a package that gives up little in terms of performance, but installs easily and accommodates street necessities, like tailpipes and Steeda’s adjustable rear swaybar.

The handling benefits of the original 5 Link design were closely modeled, so the 5 Link 2 offers the same levels of performance in roll center reduction, positive lateral control, improved anti-squat geometry, increased traction, and dynamic stability. New, improved features include compatibility with tailpipes, easier access to the differential for service, optional bolt-on installation, and compatibility with Steeda's adjustable rear sway bar and rear coilovers.

Installation of the Steeda 5 Link 2 Suspension is a straightforward, bolt-on procedure, following the illustrated instructions supplied. Weld-on installation is optional for severe duty racetrack applications.

SCCA American Sedan Racers like Tom Himes, Robert Eubanks and Robert Davis credit the original Steeda 5 Link for part of their success! Now, with the Steeda 5 Link 2, you can take Track Tested performance and easily install it into your streetable 'Stang.

Requires proportionally higher rear spring rates for best handling. See the High Rate Rear Spring link on the “Suspension” page or call 631-563-7325 for more information.
